IT Support Specialist II - Lynchburg, VA

We’re hiring an IT Support Specialist II! Join our collaborative IT team at Bank of the James, where you’ll handle a mix of Tier 1 and Tier 2 support, manage computer and mobile device lifecycles, own processes like patching, inventory, and audit support, and occasionally travel to branch locations to provide support. This is a great fit if you enjoy solving everyday tech challenges, value stability, and want meaningful ownership in a supportive environment. While our IT team is small, we value developing our staff and are open to evolving responsibilities, roles, and scope as the organization grows. One-three years of IT support or related experience (helpdesk, desktop support, or technical customer service).  Strong troubleshooting skills with Windows, Office 365, and mobile devices.  Basic knowledge of networking concepts (DNS, DHCP, VPN).  Excellent communication and customer service skills.  Someone who values stability, teamwork, and ownership while being open to growing their responsibilities over time.  This is a full-time, in person position in Lynchburg, VA .
